There are a great many great places to live in the UK, but if you are gay and looking for an amazing, supportive and friendly community which UK cities are the best to live in? We have compiled a list of some of the best gay places to live in the UK taking into account some recent studies that have been done that include looking at things like safety, nightlife, dating scene and general quality of life along with some of our own observations.<\/p>\n

Many things make up a great city and each person has to decide for themselves what is important to them, is it a range of great gay bars and pubs or it is the culture, the location or even the house prices? Gay in the UK<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you could live anywhere in the UK where would it be? Take a look at our list of great places to live if you are gay in the UK and see if you would fancy moving to any of them:<\/p>\n

London<\/strong> \u2013 Obviously we would put this on the list as it is a mecca for lots of LGBT and a passage of rites often to live here, even if it only for a while. With a huge amount of gay bars and a massive gay community, not to mention one of the biggest and most extravagant gay pride events in the world, London is often seen as the beating heart of the worlds gay scene. With lots of opportunities for employment here, great transport links and unbelievable nightlife, the biggest problem with London, gay or not, is the rent!<\/p>\n

Brighton <\/strong>\u2013 Seen as the scene away from London, a beach resort with capital links and lower house prices make this a great place to live if you are gay. With a vibrant gay village, and great gay nightlife Brighton attracts a great gay crowd who love the local culture scene and creative buzz.<\/p>\n

Manchester <\/strong>\u2013 An inclusive northern city that embraces the LGBT community with open arms. A huge cultural draw in the north, combined with a thriving gay village, gay history and friendly community makes this a great place to live if you are gay. Manchester has also received global recognition as one of the most LGBT friendly cities in the world.<\/p>\n

Glasgow <\/strong>\u2013 If you are looking for a Scottish city in which to settle then you can\u2019t go far wrong with Glasgow. Recently crowned as the most gay friendly city in Scotland Glasgow also has a thriving gay village with many trendy bars and a good number of well-loved gay clubs. Glasgow also has Scotland\u2019s biggest pride event.<\/p>\n

With over 40 theatre and concert venues, Bristol has culture in abundance and a great gay scene to go with it.
